At BlockBlueLight, the safety and satisfaction of our customers are our top priorities. As a precaution, we are recalling certain batches of our Multi Mode Sleep Lamp due to a potential safety concern with the integrated lithium-ion battery.

Why Is This Product Being Recalled?

We have identified a potential fault with the overcharge protection mechanism in some Multi Mode Sleep Lamps. In certain instances, this fault may cause the product to overheat while charging, posing a fire hazard and a risk to safety. To ensure customer safety we are recalling all units sold between 1st December 2023 and 21st November 2024.

  • Purchase Dates: 1 December 2023 and 21 November 2024

What Should You Do?

1. Stop Using the Lamp Immediately:

To ensure your safety, discontinue using the lamp.

2. Dispose of the Lamp Safely:

The lamp contains a small, integrated lithium-ion battery (2500mAh). Follow these steps for safe disposal:

  • Do NOT place the lamp in household trash or curb side recycling bins.
  • Visit a local e-waste recycling centre or battery recycling drop-off location. These facilities can safely handle products with lithium-ion batteries.

 

Compensation Options

We are offering two options for customers impacted by this recall:

  • Store Credit: Receive store credit equal to the amount you paid for the Multi Mode Sleep Lamp for use on our website.
  • Replacement Product: we will provide a replacement of a new Multi Mode Sleep Lamp.  (estimated delivery date is Feburary 2025)
