These glasses are designed to fit over your reading or prescription glasses.
Our DayMax Blue Light Glasses are specifically designed for those having significant exposure to artificial blue light during the day, they feature our specialised light yellow lenses which provide maximum blue light protection, while still helping you maintain your energy and focus when you need to feel and perform your best.
The light yellow DayMax lenses filter 70% of blue light across the entire blue light spectrum (400nm-500nm), providing maximum protection to eliminate light sensitivity, migraines, eye strain, sore and tired eyes, headaches/migraines from both screen time and bright LED or fluorescent lighting in the home/workplace.
The DayMax lens uses propriety filtering technology to block 100% of blue light in the lower range of 400 - 455 nanometers; this is the most energetic and damaging light emitted from screens and lighting. More importantly it still allows all the beneficial blue light through still which is in the later part of the spectrum from 455-500nm, this blue light is essential during the day for optimal hormone production, energy, positive mood, and motivation.
To ensure you have both day AND night protection, we recommend you also use a set of our NightFall Fitover Blue Light Blocking Glasses during night-time to ensure deep and restful sleep.

This is my 2nd pair from BlueBlock company and I love it. My eyes love them... I even slept with them on. Such ease and I don't have to squint anymore. I used the first pair at work when there's not so much of light coming from the windows but I find that this pair helps my eyes tremendously in the reflective glare coming not only from the LED lights above me but also from the computer and the outside on sunny days from the windows. Definitely one of my best buys ever! Thanks to Daniel for answering my questions :)) now if only you could design one for road cycling.
I purchased these glasses after an email exchange with the people from Block Blue Light. I work online at night and wanted to improve the quality of my sleep when I completed my tasks. These glasses have helped me to be able to sleep well. I purchased the Fitover glasses “in case” my vision changes (so I do not need to replace them) AND (more importantly), they block blue light from the sides of the glasses. These are excellent value. Thank you to Daniel and the team for answering all my questions prior to my purchase. Excellent product and excellent company. They care.
Very happy with my DayMax Fitover glasses. Arrived promptly after ordering and fit perfectly over my, not so small, reading glasses.
The DayMax Fitover Glasses fit perfectly over my own frames and are easy to wear whilst protecting my eyes at the same time.
Very useful and effective glasses for daytime - recommended!
These glasses are going really well, it is such more comfy than just the Transition Multifocal anti everything by them selves.
I don't even have to wait until lenses change when I come inside.
I Do still need the Night Fitovers and screen on my Door Window to protect side of right eye.
I mainly bought these for night driving as I have light sensitivity and modern headlights can be blinding and therefore dangerous, especially on my local twisty and undulating roads. I've tested them out both in partial darkness and at midnight - they are a revelation! I wasn't able to detect a difference in overall vision which I was worried about, and they made an amazing difference in being able to cope with lights from both oncoming and following cars. There was even a car that didn't dip their lights until they were quite close, and though it was bright I wasn't blinded which I would have been without these glasses. Now that I have them I can see me using the glasses on bright days as well to reduce the glare. They fit well over my specs, with wriggle room, and are easy to push to the top of my head if I need to.
Im pleased with the glasses. They do fit over my own glasses, as claimed. Nice solid materials and design, which is promising for keeping them for years to come. I can't speak yet about any affects from their use, because I haven't been consistent enough over long enough a time period yet. However, I can report that the experience of the yellow tint is pleasant to use. This is particularly positive, because it means that I do reach for them when I remember in the evenings, and don't avoid them.
Final point - I was mostly motivated to get them now, not for laptop screens, but actually for outdoor light sensitivity. I had discovered that it's possible to get eye strain from bright overcast days. Something about the light coming from lots of different angles, due to the lack of uniformity in the clouds, and the clouds continually moving. Those days give me mild headaches, eye strain, general irritability, and I loath to be outdoors during them. This may have gotten worse since Long Covid.
I wanted to mention that in my review here, in case it is helpful to others who also attributed light sensitivity to only bright sunshine, or who had Long Covid, or any other chronic illness where conserving energy (and minimizing physical stressors) is important.
I bought these for my mother, for night walking and driving, as she finds the LED headlamps of oncoming cars extremely irritating to her eyes, and complains that they dazzle her so much she can't see the road properly. She loves them for this purpose, as they reduce the glare enough for her not to constantly scream about her eyes. I weighed up the safety of the use of tinted lenses at night vs the safety of being constantly dazzled (and angry about it) while driving, and decided it was worth a try. Especially as she is often a passenger anyway, not responsible for the driving but still affected by oncoming headlamps.
She also uses them for sewing, as she works under a bright LED lamp and finds that the glasses help her eyes to feel relaxed, so she's less tired after an afternoon of quilting. Of course, she takes them off to choose colours!
