Bought for reading with the kids in bed so we could still be winding down without the harsh overhead light. So glad I bought it. Clear enough to still read all types of book (though the pictures in their books all become one colour really - but they haven't minded), but still creates a really sleepy, calm atmosphere for them. I have no trouble falling asleep after using it either. Clips to the bed head well, or the back of the book.

I LOVE this book light! I stopped reading at night because of too much blue light, and now I can read again. The clip fits well on all books and is very lightweight. There are three settings, from dim to brighter.

I was not sure this red light would be bright enough to read by, but I am pleasantly surprised. It is just as easy to read as the yellow light. The nifty features of three light settings and good sized adjustable book/bed clamp and rechargeable battery are still delighting me.

I use it for sketching items in the night sky like galaxies and planets. The red light protects my night vision and allows me to transfer my view through the telescope onto sketching medium. The adjustable arm and clamp allow me to move the light to the perfect position.
** One more thing. I really love the three phases of light intensity.

This kind of product is exactly what I have been looking for for many years,
At night, there's this incredible conundrum—read in bright light and gut your melatonin production levels/physiologically set your body up for hours of wake time, or use the lowest light level you can possibly muster like some a video game challenge accept the result is probably just (mild to moderate) eye strain and a less inspired reading experience.
But wait! There's a bonus. The clip (quite robust) is multifaceted: clip it to any compatible ledge and angle the light to your desire to meet your particular preference at the moment or clip it directly in-between your book pages onto the spine and read hands-free—unclasping and relapsing as you flip.
